15 Area Wrestlers Featured in Feb. 2 KWCA Rankings

Feb. 2 KWCA Rankings – 4A, 321A, Girls-DII

The postseason gets underway for area high school wrestling teams this week with district meets and with that the latest Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association rankings have been released featuring 15 local athletes.

In Class 4A the Holton Wildcats have three guys ranked this week with Jake Barnes coming in at No. 5 in the 120-pound weight class while Jayden Fletcher is sixth at 152 and Konnor Tannahill the top-ranked wrestler at 195.

Perry Lecompton’s Hayden Robb rounds out the 4A rankings this week as he checks in at No. 3 in the 220-pound weight class.

In the 321A classification the ACCHS Tigers continue to have two guys ranked this week as Mason Scholz is third in the 132-pound weight class while Colby Smith is sixth at 145.

Riverside added two more ranked wrestlers this week led by Conner Hayes who is ranked second at 132 pounds while Kaedin Juhl is sixth at 220.

The final ranked wrestler in 321A comes from Sabetha who has Kaden Dillon ranked third at 160 pounds.

In the girl’s rankings the Holton Wildcats have two ranked wrestlers with Macey Gross fifth at 126 pounds while Gracie Gallagher is sixth at 138.

Royal Valley’s Maya Ogden is ranked third in the 138-pound weight class as well, while Oskaloosa’s Allison King is the sixth-ranked wrestler at 155 pounds.

The rankings are rounded out by ACCHS and Sabetha as the Tigers have Tannah Forbes ranked second at 191 pounds while the Lady Jays Kylie Meredith is the top-ranked wrestler at 235.
