12 Local Wrestlers Highlight Feb. 9 KWCA Rankings

Dec. 9 KWCA Rankings – 4A, 321A, Girls

Postseason wrestling got underway over the weekend and with regionals coming up on Friday and Saturday the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association released the newest set of rankings featuring 12 local athletes.

In Class 4A the Holton Wildcats continue to have three guys ranked with Jake Barnes ranked fifth at 120 pounds along with Jayden Fletcher sixth at 152 and Konnor Tannahill ranked No. 1 at 195 pounds.

The only other local wrestler ranked in 4A is Perry Lecompton’s Hayden Robb who is the top-ranked wrestler at 285 pounds.

In 321A just three local guys are ranked this week including two in the 132-pound weight class with ACCHS’ Mason Scholz leading the way ranked second while Riverside’s Conner Hayes is third.

The Sabetha Bluejays round out the 321A rankings with just one guy ranked as Kaden Dillon checks in this week at No. 3 in the 160-pound weight class.

On the girl’s side of the rankings in division two five local wrestlers are ranked including Holton’s Macey Gross ranked fifth at 126 pounds while Royal Valley’s Maya Ogden is second at 138.

Oskaloosa’s Allison King is ranked sixth at 155 pounds, while ACCHS’ Tannah Forbes is second at 191 and Sabetha’s Kylie Meredith second at 235.
