Mound City Panther boys make The Final Four

The Mound  City Panther boys basketball team is headed to The Final Four in Springfield, Missouri on Friday and Saturday. 

The Panthers beat Orrick this past Friday night 61-30 to advance to the Final Four for the first time in 40 years.

Mound City (28-1) will be in action Friday at noon at the John Q. Hammonds Center taking on the St. Elizabeth Hornets (18-6) in the semi-finals.  

South Iron (23-4)  and Higbee (19-5) will meet in the other semi-final.   

If the Panthers win Friday, they play for the state title Saturday afternoon at 2:30.  A third place game would tipoff at noon Saturday, also at the John Q. Hammonds Center.
