Nemaha Central Track Sweeps Royal Valley Quad

Big 7 League Quad at Royal Valley – Results

The track season continued Tuesday night with area Big 7 League teams competing at the Royal Valley quad and the Nemaha Central Thunder swept the girls and boys divisions.

The Thunder girls had nine event winners on the day including three from Julie Rottinghaus who won the 100-meter dash and triple jump along with being a part of the 4 by 100-meter relay team that won. Hannah Scott also won the shot put and javelin, while Hailey Nordus won the 400-meter dash and 800-meter run. Heather Suther also captured the 200-meter dash along with the 4 by 400-meter relay team winning as well.

Holton added four event winners on the day as Darcee Ashcraft won the discus, Piper Robinson the pole vault, Tes Young the triple jump and the 4 by 800-meter relay team picking up a win.

Hiawatha added a single win from Claire Geiger in the 100-meter hurdles, while Royal Valley had wins in the 1600 and 3200-meter runs by Cheyenne Hittle, a win by Mimi Tye in the 300-meter hurdles and a win by Ivy Fink in the high jump.

On the boys side Nemaha Central had nine more event winners as Sam McWilliams won the 100-meter dash, Mo Hilbert the 200-meter dash, Dylan Lortscher the 110-meter hurdles and high jump, Slade Uselton the 300-meter hurdles, Holden Bass the shot put and Nathan Deters the discus. The Thunder also got a pair of relay event wins as the 4 by 100 and 4 by 400-meter relay team picked up wins.

Royal Valley added six winners of their own as Daniel Coleman won the long jump, Luke Boyden the pole vault, Antonio Greemore-Hopkins the 1600 and 3200-meter runs, Colin Everts the 400-meter dash and the 4 by 800-meter relay team picking up a win.

Holton added a pair of wins from Canon Karn in the javelin and triple jump, while Hiawatha’s Camden Bachman won the 800-meter run.
