JCN and Doniphan West Track Teams Dominate Jeff County North Invitational

Area track teams continued their seasons Friday afternoon at the Jefferson County North Invitational with the host Chargers leading the way.

The JCN boys had 11 first place finishes as James Kramer won the 100-meter dash and long jump, Cole Burk the 110-meter hurdles, Lawrence Pollard the 300-meter hurdles,  Caleb Worthington the pole vault, Ryan Feldkamp the shot put and discus, Emmett Jobbins the javelin, and the relay event teams sweeping in the 4 by 100, 400 and 800-meter relays.

Doniphan West added two more event wins as Trent Spiker won the 200 and 400-meter dashes, while Valley Falls rounded out the boy’s side with wins from Nathan Hawk in the high jump and Zac Evans in the triple jump.

On the girls side the host Chargers had six wins on the day with Jordyn Renk winning the 1600-meter run, Adie Manville the high jump, Esa Miller the pole vault, Audrey Bell the triple jump, and the 4 by 100 along with the 4 by 400-meter relay team taking first.

Doniphan West added six more wins as Elle Williams won the 800-meter run, Chloe Clevenger the 3200-meter run, Claire Cole the 100 and 300-meter hurdles, and the 4 by 100 along with the 4 by 800-meter relay teams taking first.

The meet was rounded out by Horton’s Maliyah Soto who won the 100-meter dash and set the school record with a time of 12.84.
