Northeast Kansas League Baseball and Softball All-League Teams Released

NEKL All-League Awards – Baseball & Softball

Postseason awards continue to be released with the baseball and softball seasons over a week complete and the Northeast Kansas League is latest to release their all-league awards.

The baseball selections were dominated by Maur Hill-Mount Academy and Valley Falls who battled for the league title this season ultimately sharing the league crown.

The Dragons beat the Ravens in the postseason and reach the state championship game with six first team selections in Avery Gatzemeyer at pitcher, Cade Norris at catcher, Cooper Jepson and Denten Elias on the infield along with Gage Burdiek and Trenton Kraxner in the outfield.

MH-MA added five first team selections of their own with Drew Caudle and Aaron Noll selected at pitcher while Kolbran Korbelik and Parrish Beagle earned infield spots along with Christian Trevino in the outfield.

Oskaloosa, ACCHS and Pleasant Ridge rounded out the first team selections as the Bears Cord Perry was selected at pitcher, the Tigers Caleb Miller at utility and the Rams Nate Wilburn in the outfield.

As to the softball all-league selections the most came from Oskaloosa who had four with Ellie Stember at pitcher, Sophia Rockhold at catcher and Reese along with her sister Regan Curry on the infield.

Pleasant Ridge added three selections in Katie Lance on the infield, Kelsi Ko in the outfield and Allison Parker as a utility player.

Three more first team selections came from Valley Falls in Caitlyn Thomas at pitcher, Renay Myers on the infield and Makayla Yates in the outfield.

McLouth and ACCHS rounded out first team selections with two each, as the Bulldogs Corissa Bandel earned a spot at pitcher and Remi McColley on the infield while the Tigers Tannah Forbes and Lainey Pantle were each selected in the outfield.
