McLouth Cross Country Has Good Showing at Jeff West

The McLouth Cross Country teams put together a solid outing at the Jefferson West Invitational on Thursday afternoon.

Both the girls and boys placed second behind Christ Preparatory Academy. The McLouth girls had a strong showing led by senior Nina Hedden who finished in second place overall with a time of 22:15.5. Senior Reagan Clark finished eighth with a time of 23:07.1 and sophomore Ash David finished just outside the top ten in 11th place with a time of 23:09.4.

Freshman Holly Thacher led Oskaloosa finishing in 13th place with a time of 4:12.1. Perry-Lecompton posted five of their runners between 15th and 25th place. Valley Falls had multiple runners inside the top 30 including junior Carly Henson and sophomore Maddison Conner.

The McLouth boys finished strong with three runners inside the top 12 led by junior Henry Cloyd finishing in third place with a time of 17:52.9. Senior Jared Plake and junior Dylan Stemmons finished in eighth and 12th respectively.

Senior Colby Hanzlicek led Wetmore finishing in seventh place with a time of 18:33.5. Senior Eric Bloom finished in 14th place with a time of 19:33.4.

The Valley Falls boys posted two inside the top 25 with junior Thayer Coleman and junior Dawson Branam finishing in 16th and 25th respectively.
