Multiple Athletes Shine at Marysville Cross Country Invitational

Multiple area cross country teams got a chance to compete over the weekend at the Marysville Invitational. 

The girls 5K run was highlighted by Elle Williams of Doniphan West who finished first place with a time of 22:15.28. Williams finished nearly 18 seconds ahead of Sabetha's Mary Lukert who finished in second place. 

Nemaha Central's Hailey Nordhus, Leah Lukert of Sabetha and Claire Cole of Doniphan West rounded out the top five finishers. 

GIRLS TEAM STANDINGS 

1. Sabetha
2. Doniphan West 
3. Nemaha Central 
4. Axtell 

In the boys 5K run, it was Marysville's Silas Miller finished in first place with a time of 18:04.50. Miller finished 24 seconds ahead of Sabetha's Kalvin Evans who finished in second place. 

John Langill of Nemaha Central, Tyrese Bishop of Sabetha and Marysville's Ryan Stade rounded out the top five finishers.
