Jackson Heights Strong In Road Win at Horton

For the second straight week the Jackson Heights Cobras put up over 45 points on the gridiron as Friday they scored 48 in a 48-7 beat down of Horton.

The Cobras led from start to finish including a 48-0 halftime lead with Jason Bosley starting the scoring on Jackson Heights’ first drive connecting with Grant Amon on a 58-yard touchdown on the second play from scrimmage to make it 6-0.

It would be the first of four touchdown connections on the night between Bosley and Amon as the duo had touchdowns of 58, 74, 21, and 49 yards.

Wyatt Bacon would add a touchdown run for the Cobras while also catching a screen pass and taking it 34 yards to the house along with Silas Holliday hauling in a 43-yard touchdown.

Bosley finished 7-of-9 passing for 289 yards and six touchdowns while Amon had 202 receiving yards on four catches with those four scores.

The Cobras finished with near 450 yards of total offense while holding Horton to 163 yards with most of those coming in the second half.

Horton’s lone score came on a 3-yard run by Trent Lockwood, while the Chargers were led by Trey Lockwood who finished with 70 yards on the ground.

Jackson Heights (2-0) now gets set for a big matchup at Centralia next week, while Horton (0-2) heads to Valley Heights.
