Axtell Dominates Frankfort to Remain Undefeated

The Axtell Eagles showed why their considered the best team in Class 8-Man Division Two with a Statement win on Friday night over Frankfort, 54-8. 

The game ended midway through the third quarter after the Eagles built a 40-8 halftime lead. 

Eagles quarterback Isaac Detweiler finished the game with 10 carries for 129 yards and four touchdowns while also completing nine of 13 passes for 124 yards and three more scores. 

Grady Buessing finished with two receptions for 60 yards and two touchdowns while Eli Broxterman finished with two carries for 72 yards and a score. 

Axtell outgained Frankfort 325-160 and averaged nearly 17 yards per carry finishing the game with over 200 rushing yards. 

Frankfort was led by Ethan Armstrong with 10 carries for 80 yards and a touchdown. 

Axtell (5-0) travels to Linn for week six while Frankfort (4-1) returns home to host Hanover.
