Cross Country: DW Girls and Wetmore Boys Take Home League Titles

It was the Doniphan West girls and Wetmore boys cross country teams taking home TVL titles on Thursday afternoon. 

The Doniphan West girls won their third straight league title with Elle Williams and Claire Cole going 1st and 2nd respectively. 

McKenzie Baker (Washington County), Michelle Zarybnicky (Hanover), and Claire Beikmann (Linn) rounding out the top five. 

Morgan Allen (Centralia), Lena Leatherman (Doniphan West), Hattie Gros (Frankfort), Aspen Buessing (Axtell), and Audrey Kostal (Axtell) rounded out the top 10 finishing 6th thru 10th respectively. 

Girls Team Standings

1. Doniphan West
2. Axtell
3. Clifton Clyde

The Wetmore boys took home the team title placing three inside the top five including the individual champion, Colby Hanzlicek. 

Grady Buessing (Axtell), Eric Bloom (Wetmore), Hudson Nemechek (Valley Heights), and Braden Henry (Wetmore) round out the top five. 

Connor Smith (Frankfort), Drake Baker (Washington County), Griffin Weber (Troy), Colton Czapanskiy (Clifton Clyde), and Race Engelken (Centralia) finished inside the top 10 going 6th thru 10th respectively.
