Class 1A-DI State – Information

In a dominant showing the Hanover Lady Wildcats clinched their ticket to the Class 1A-DI State Volleyball Tournament after claiming the Linn Sub-State on Saturday.

The Cats got the top-seed earning a first round bye and received Wetmore in the semifinals after the Cardinals beat Pike Valley in two sets in the opening round.

Hanover made quick work of the Cardinals winning in straight sets 25-11 and 25-19 propelling the Lady Cats into the championship match against Linn who had earned straight set wins over Axtell and St. John’s-Tipton.

The Lady Cats rolled once again, beating Linn in dominant fashion 25-14, 25-12 to earn their trip to Emporia.

Hanover heads to the state tournament with a 35-5 record which earns the Cats the 2-seed where they will take on Lost Springs-Centre at 11 a.m., Dighton at 1 p.m., and Central Plains at 3 p.m. on Friday inside White Auditorium.
