JCN Keeps Hope Alive for Saturday with Three Set Win Over Maranatha
By Brandon Tadtman

The Jefferson County North Volleyball team kept their Semi-Final Saturday hopes alive with a wild three set win over 7-seed Maranatha Christian Academy 26-24, 23-25, and 25-16 at the 2A State Tournament in Dodge City.

The 3-seed Chargers were down 18-8 in the first set and were even down 24-19 but scored the last seven points to earn the comeback set one win.

Maranatha controlled the second set but once again JCN put together a late rally but this time the Eagles were able to hold off the Chargers to force a deciding third set.

JCN rolled to a 5-0 start in the third set and never looked back in route to the win that keeps their Saturday hopes alive.

JCN will face 2-seed Ellinwood to wrap up the Friday slate and will need a win to advance to the Semi-Finals on Saturday in Dodge City.
