Holton Lady Mat Cats Place 2nd at Spring Hill Invite

In their first tournament of the season, the Holton girls came away with a second place finish at the Spring Hill Invite on Saturday. It is the first team medal for the young Holton girls wrestling program. Holton tied for secon with Spring Hill just six points behind first place Paola. 

Holton also had eight girls earn a medal led by Macey Gross and Gracie Gallagher who made it to the championship matches in their respective weight classes before placing second. Piper Robinson, Madeline Montgomery, and Emma Bontrager all placed third while Sadie Walker and Murissa Ware were fifth and Tiah Gross placed sixth. Raegan Watkins also earned team points for the Lady Wildcats.

The young program has a record number of girls out under new Head Coach Mike Lovvorn and will be at home for the first time this season on Thursday, December 9th against Santa Fe Trail.
