Top 10 Moments of 2021: No. 9 - Kansas Sanctions 6-Man Football for 2022
By Brandon Tadtman

2021 has been a wild year from start to finish. We are blessed at Kanzaland Radio to cover some of the best athletes in the state.

We've tried our best to put together the Top 10 Moments of the 2021 year. We continue our countdown with #9.

Kansas Sanctions 6-Man Football Starting in 2022.

The KSHSAA Board of Directors voted in the fall to sanction 6-Man football beginning in the 2022 season.

Holding a Championship at that level depends on being able to fill the 24 teams. 6-Man Football resurfaced in Kansas back in 2014 and will now be sanctioned beginning the 2022 season.

Wetmore is the only local team that is moving to 6-man. Onaga and Valley Falls are both going back to 11-man football after playing 8-man the last few seasons.
