KWCA Releases Latest Rankings Ahead of 2022

The Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association have released their latest rankings ahead of the start of 2022.

In Class 4A, the Holton boys are ranked fourth behind only Augusta, Andale, and Chanute. Sophomore Tucker Gilliland is the number four ranked wrestler at 113 pounds while junior Jayden Fletcher is second at 160 pounds.

Sophomore Dalton Roush is the top ranked wrestler at 220 pounds and senior Dustin Chermok is number two at 285 pounds.

Multiple area athletes are in the 3-2-1A rankings this week. Freshman Tayven Wilson of Marysville is ranked fourth at 106 pounds while sophomore Gable Fredrickson is the top ranked wrestler at 120 pounds.

Onaga sophomore Landon Koelling is number six at 126 pounds. ACCHS senior Mason Scholz is ranked third at 132 pounds while Sabetha’s Colin Menold is ranked sixth.

Sabetha junior Josh Herrmann is number six at 170 pounds and Oskaloosa senior Justin Miller is ranked sixth at 285 pounds.

In the 4-1A girls rankings, Holton is in the rankings at number 10 this week. Junior Piper Robinson is ranked sixth at 115 pounds while Macey Gross is ranked fourth at 120 pounds.

Also, McLouth freshman Anna Patz is ranked fourth at 126 pounds and Oskaloosa junior Allison King is the top ranked wrestler at 155 pounds.
