Sabetha Boys Take Down Silver Lake While Switching Gyms Mid-Game

The Sabetha boys basketball team picked up a solid win over Silver Lake on Friday night 49-40 while having to switch gyms in the middle of the game. 

Silver Lake's Karyn Kaniper broke the rim on a two-handed dunk with 6:08 left in the game. Sabetha and Silver Lake were tied 36-36 at that point in the game. 

The game was paused and was then moved to a secondary gym to close out the game. Sabetha would go on to outscore Silver Lake 13-4 when play resumed. 

In the second half, Sabetha dominated outscoring Silver Lake 32-8 after trailing 32-17 at halftime. 

Balanced scoring across the board for Sabetha with Davis Rokey leading the way with 18 points. Christian McAfee added nine while Matthew Garber added eight points. 

Silver Lake was led by Kaniper with 15 points while Troy Heiman added 10. 

Sabetha improves to 10-3 with the win and will travel to Riverside on Tuesday night.
