Holton Girls Show Out and Win Silver Lake Tournament

The Holton girls wrestling team put together an impressive performance over the weekend to win the Silver Lake Tournament

The Wildcats racked up 129 points which was 37 points better than Santa Fe Trail who finished in second place. 

Silver Lake, Prairie View, and Burlingame rounded out the top five team finishes. 

The Wildcats posted four first place finishes as well as a second and multiple third place finishes. 

Macey Gross, ranked #4 at 120, won first place by defeating Jaiden Whitehead of Silver Lake by fall in the Championship match. 

Tiah Gross and Sadey Gross finished first and second respectively at 126 with Tiah winning by fall over Sadie in the Championship match. 

Sadie Walker, who's been in and out of the state rankings this season, picked up a first place finish at 143 defeating Anderson County's Clarissa Sheahan by an 8-5 decision in the Championship match. 

Madeline Montgomery defeated Taylor Keimig of ACCHS by fall to claim first place at 191. 

Other notable finishes include Karoline Tannahill who finished in third place at 235, Morissa Ware third place at 155, Gracie Gallagher second place at 132, and Piper Robinson third place at 115.
