Former Holton Wildcat Excelling at Pitt State
By Brandon Tadtman

Former Holton Wildcat Mason Strader continues to be a standout for the Pittsburg State University Track and Field team.

The junior was just named the NCAA Division-II Men's Indoor Track & Field athlete of the week. He also added MIAA athlete of the week honors as well.

Strader ran a mile in less than four minutes at just under three minutes and 59 seconds to win his section at the Arkansas Qualifier.

His exact time of 3:58.47 in the mile was the fourth fastest time in NCAA Division-II history. He is also the first man in Pitt State history to run a mile in less than four minutes. That time was also good for the school record as he had that previous record with a four minute and two second mile earlier this month.

The former Holton Wildcat was a three-time Class 4A All-State performer.
