NEKL All-League Teams in Basketball Released for 2021-2022 Season

The Northeast Kansas League All-League Basketball teams are out for the 2021-2022 season. 

The Valley Falls boys took home the league title this season and finished 4th at the Class 2A State Tournament this past week in Manhattan. 

The Dragons posted two players on the First Team All-League selections with Dylan Cervantez and Avery Gatzemeyer. 

Joining those two on the First Team are Kieran Courter of ACCHS, Ryan Feldkamp of Jefferson County North, and Devin Stutz of Pleasant Ridge. 

Jackson Heights posted multiple selections on the Second Team with Grant Amon and Jason Bosley. Joining those two Cobra's on the Second Team are Braeden Howard of Pleasant Ridge, Trey Lockwood of Horton, and Samuel Peitsch of Maur Hill-Mount Academy. 

Honorable Mention selections include: Walker Adams (Pleasant Ridge), Ryan Begaye (McLouth), Mark Harris (MH-MA), Silas Holliday (Jackson Heights), Trenton Kimmi (ACCHS), Brennen Miller (Valley Falls), Trenton VanHoutan (Oskaloosa), Karson Worthington (JCN), and Trevor Ottman (Horton). 

The Jackson Heights and ACCHS girls were the top two teams in the league this season with the Cobras taking home the League Title and ACCHS finishing in second place. 

Each posted two on the First Team with Kanyon Olberding and Kaylee Thompson for Jackson Heights and Addison Schletzbaum and Natalie Nitz for ACCHS. 

Joining those four on the First Team was Maliyah Soto of Horton. 

Five different schools in the league represent the Second Team this season and those selections include Gabbriella Watkins of Pleasant Ridge, Korie Kirkwood of Valley Falls, Tera Wistuba of Jefferson County North, Aleah Wallisch of ACCHS, and Katie Williams of McLouth. 

Honorable Mention selections include: Kinzee Bauerle (ACCHS), Maddy Stirton (Horton), McKenzie McMahon (Jackson Heights), Claire Jobbins (JCN), Zoey Stec (MH-MA), Shianne Hill (McLouth), Lex Messalle (Oskaloosa), Mia Ernzen (Pleasant Ridge), and Makayla Yates (Valley Falls).
