Madison Martin

This week’s Athlete of the Week honors go to Madison Martin of Atchison County, who delivered a jaw-dropping, record-shattering performance in the Tigers’ 39-17 victory over McLouth.

Madison posted a ridiculous triple-double, finishing with 14 points, 13 rebounds, and an incredible 16 blocks. Yes, 16 blocks!

She previously held the school record for blocks in a single game with 11, and last week she didn’t just break it — she obliterated it with 16 rejections, anchoring the Tigers’ defense in dominant fashion.

While it hasn’t been the easiest season in the win column for ACCHS girls basketball, individual performances like this deserve to be recognized and celebrated. 

On the season, she is averaging nearly 7 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 blocks per game, continuing to be a consistent force on both ends of the floor.
