Toby Wagner

Perry-Lecompton freshman Toby Wagner is quickly making a name for himself—and he’s just getting started.
Wagner earns Athlete of the Week honors after an impressive stretch on the course. He captured the Preseason Big East Tournament title at Cypress Ridge, finishing at +4, and followed it up with a stellar -2 round and a third-place finish in Seneca.
Already one of the top golfers in the state, Wagner is currently ranked No. 3 in Class 3A with a 77.8 scoring average, helping lead the Kaws to a top-12 team ranking.
His success comes as no surprise. Wagner stays sharp year-round, competing on the AJGA (American Junior Golf Association) circuit and the Central Links Tour. Last summer, he also represented Kansas in the PGA Junior League, gaining valuable high-level experience.
It’s a remarkable start for the freshman standout, and with Wagner leading the way, Perry-Lecompton has its sights set on a strong postseason run.
