The Centralia girls basketball team, the defending 1A-I State Champs, are back at the state tournament in 2026.
They have a chance to defend that championship after a big showing from Hayden Kramer in the sub-state tournament this past week.
After a bye, the Panthers opened sub-state tournament play with a 70-21 win over Frankfort in the semifinals, and followed that with a 69-57 win over Clifton-Clyde in the championship game.
In the two sub-state games, Hayden averaged 17 points and nearly seven assists per game. She hit 67% of her shots in the two games, and she added going 4-for-6 from three in the championship game.
For the season, Hayden is averaging 11.5 points, 4 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 2.6 steals per game.
Centralia enters the state tournament at 22-3 overall riding a 6-game winning streak into the quarterfinal matchup against Quinter.
